What began as a winery in 1917 is now a place to arrive and unwind. 104 rooms overlooking the vineyards, a 900 m² wellness area with a pool and four saunas, plus Franconian cuisine at Restaurant 1917. The wines come from our own cellar.
The Mainschleife lies right outside the door. Cycling, hiking, wine tastings or simply enjoying the peace and quiet. And if you need to be productive: seven meeting rooms for up to 186 people.

Six room categories, from cosy to spacious. All with a balcony and vineyard views. The suites offer a separate living room and up to 45 m² of space. Wooden floors, warm colours and thoughtful design make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Franconian cuisine and estate wines
The kitchen focuses on regional produce and Franconian recipes. A rich breakfast buffet in the morning, a three-course menu or à la carte in the evening. Accompanied by Silvaner, Bacchus and Riesling from our own winery. In summer, the terrace overlooking the vines is the finest spot in the house.
Wellness & Spa
900 m² of pure relaxation
A 15-metre pool with a counter-current system and vineyard views. Four saunas, from the Finnish sauna to the steam bath. Plus a relaxation room with waterbeds and massages ranging from hot stone to aroma oil. The wellness area is open daily from 7 am to 9 pm.
The Mainschleife
Hiking, cycling and vineyards
Volkach lies in the heart of the Mainschleife, one of Franconia's most beautiful wine regions. Cycle paths run right along the Main river, hiking trails lead up through the vineyards to the pilgrimage church of Maria im Weingarten. Wine festivals beckon in summer, the grape harvest in autumn. Würzburg is just 30 minutes away.

Estate-grown wines since 1917
Weingut Römmert cultivates vineyards all around Volkach. In the vinothek, guests can taste Silvaner, Bacchus and Riesling straight from the producer. Guided cellar tours take place regularly and offer an insight into Franconia's winemaking tradition.
